About Us

Our History

In 1998, Franz Plasa turned the Château du Pape into the H.O.M.E. Studios in the heart of Hamburg, Germany. Over the years, it has become a trusted recording location for national and international artists, among them Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Depeche Mode, and 50 Cent.

H.O.M.E. Studios stands for a tradition of handmade recordings connected with state-of-the-art production tools and specially designed recording rooms, built by renowned acoustician Wolfgang Jensen.

Today, H.O.M.E. Studios has grown into a collective studio complex centered around Main Studio 1, where different producers create their trademark productions:

  • Tilmann Ilse — Mixer, Engineer, Dolby Atmos Studio 1 (James Arthur, Cro, Alvaro, Maffay, Juli, Tokio Hotel, Udo Lindenberg, Revolverheld)
